New Zealand Education Fair Series ENZ organised two fairs in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City on the 16th and 17th of June A total of 28 New Zealand institutions participated across the two fairs. The English Language, Foundation, Secondary School and Tertiary sectors were all present amongst participants. The fairs were promoted utilising a variety of channels- television advertising and coverage (interviews with NZ diplomats about the fairs), print (advertising and editorial), posters and banner, web, flyers and direct marketing. 400 and 1,000 visitors were conservatively estimated to have attended in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh respectively. 78% of visitors expressed interest in diploma undergraduate or graduate study options in New Zealand, with the remaining 22% of visitors interested in secondary schooling. In conjunction with the fairs, agent training sessions were held in each city to better inform agents on the New Zealand market, visa developments etc. A function was also held which allowed institutions and agents an opportunity to network informally. NZTE Vietnam presented a public seminar about the New Zealand Education system, visa processes etc. A total of 80 people attended the seminar in Ho Chi Minh City and 40 attended in Ha Noi. Those attending the seminars had the opportunity to ask specific questions to their needs. Attendees were offered gift bags with New Zealand Educated branding, SINZ booklets, generic prospectus, pens and plastic bags.
