Inbound Agents Tour In order to help rekindle Chinese agents’ enthusiasm for the New Zealand’s education product, an inbound agent tour was organised from 26 March to 5 April 2007. Agents were selected based on their significant contribution to inbound Chinese student numbers or on their potential/capacity to become a significant agent in the New Zealand market. Participating agents were asked to name a number of education providers they would be interested in visiting. Agents’ feedback then determined which of two tour groups they were assigned to based on their geographic and industry sector preferences. Half way through the tour, both tour groups converged in Wellington to attend a series of talks from Immigration New Zealand and the Ministry of Education. Interspersed with institutional visits agents were given sightseeing opportunities and a number of experiences to help them get a broader picture of what New Zealand can offer incoming students.
