Pride-Viagens presentation

Pride-Viagense e Intercâmbio is an education agent based in Salvador, capital of Bahia state in the North East of Brazil. Mrs Maria de Fátima Fonseca Serbeto de Barros, the owner/director went to New Zealand in April 07 as one of the agents on the Brazilian Inbound Agent familiarisation visit.
Mrs Srebeto invited Education New Zealand’s NZTE- Brazil representative to do a presentation about New Zealand and the NZ Education System at a seminar she held in a new mall on 12 September 2007. The mall is frequented by the higher social economic population of Salvador city. Approximately 45 people attended the presentation which lasted one hour including questions.
Education New Zealand’s NZTE Brazil representative was also interviewed by a local newspaper and radio station.
Gran Via Presentation

Gran Via Turismo e Intercâmbio is another Salvador based education agent. The co-owner of this agency, Mr Tim Hopkins has also been on an Education New Zealand familiarisation tour. Mr Hopkins invited Education New Zealand’s NZTE representative to host a similar presentation about New Zealand and the NZ Education System to students at Anchieta School, one of the best High schools in Salvador, with a roll mostly drawn from the higher socio-economic community.
Two presentations were held for approximately 20 minutes each during class breaks, with between 20 to 30 students attending. Students showed a great deal of interest in the presentation by asking many questions non to mention foregoing their break times.
Yazigi - Indaiatuba

The Yazigi group was created 57 years ago and is composed by two main companies:
- Yazigi Internexus: Language schools (English and Spanish) with over 350 branches around Brazil and about 150,000 students.
- Yazigi Travel: Education agent with the head office in Sao Paulo . Yazigi Travel is represented by “Yazigi” schools throughout Brazil.
Yazigi Internexus based in Indaiatuba a prosperous city of 170,000, 1.5 hours drive from Sao Paulo, organized the first ever education fair in the city on 29 September. Maura Leão, Belta Director and co-owner of Yazigi Travel, invited Education New Zealand’s NZTE Brazil representative to do a presentation on the New Zealand education experience.
Yazigi Travel promoted the fair through local press advertising, e-flyers, banners, and posters.
Approximately 300 visitors attended the fair with 35 listening to the New Zealand presentation.
Yazigi Congress

On the 24th 25th of October Education New Zealand’s NZTE representative was invited to attend and make a presentation at the 2007 Yazigi Congress. The congress comprised the franchisees of 250 Yazigi Internexus private language schools. Nationally over 150,000 students are enrolled in English and Spanish courses through this network of schools. The presentation was well received with many of the attendees taking the opportunity to ask questions informally with the NZTE representative throughout the two days. Congress participants asked questions focused on further clarifying New Zealand’s education offerings and exploring the opportunities for study-break link ups with New Zealand institutions.
