AMCHAM Mailout
Formed in 1919, the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) is a non-profit and non-governmental organization that has about 6,800 associates, composed by both SMEs and large businesses. It is the second biggest Chamber of Commerce in the world. Members are drawn from all fields of the economy. 80% of AMCHAM members are Brazilian, 13% are Americans with the remainder from various countries in the Americas. Via the AMCHAM membership of NZTE Sao Paulo, ENZ’s NZTE representative was given access to the membership database in order to perform a mail drop. The database was carefully mined to target those members with interests in education and other key industries such as tourism and agribusiness. ON the 11th of October, 1,154 AMCHAM contacts were sent a fold-out Portuguese flyer with generic information on study in New Zealand. |
