New Zealand Education Fairs Participation Fee: Bangkok – Sunday 15 June Phuket – Tuesday 17 June The New Zealand Education Fair series in Thailand is a flagship NZ marketing event. The activity provides an opportunity for marketers to raise their profile, recruit students, maintain relationships and meet with active agents in the market. The 2008 series of fairs mark the 15th year that New Zealand Education Fairs have been held in Thailand. This series of fairs is being supported by ENZ Depth Marketing Funding (from the Levy) of $51,000. From 2007 to 2008 fair participation fees have increased by 20% for Bangkok and 10% for the two smaller cities. This is due to a decrease in generic funding and an increase in expenses, significantly a 40% rise in the Bangkok venue hire cost. In 2008 the Bangkok fair venue changes from the Queen Sirikit Centre (unavailable this year) to the prestigious Siam Paragon Shopping Complex. This more expensive venue is centrally located at the Sky Train interchange station, making it very busy during weekends. It will be like bringing the fair to the people ... An increase in visitor numbers is expected in 2008 for Chiang Mai as the New Zealand Education Fair moves from a weekday to a Saturday. Phuket is a new location for the fairs, replacing Khon Kaen in 2008. The increasing number of strong agents in the area and increased interest in New Zealand as a study destination has provided a great option for New Zealand Education marketing in South Thailand. The current draft programme is as follows:
The Networking Evening Receptions are excellent opportunities to meet various education officials and local agents, and become familiar with arrangements in preparation for the fair. The current list of registered attendees for the 2008 Thai Fair series is North Shore International Academy Schools coloured in Blue participated in the 2007 Thai Fair Series.
