PACE Events


Education New Zealand runs a programme of offshore Education Fairs and Agent Seminars in our key markets. You can be part of the collaborative ‘NZ Inc’ team offshore! Please click HERE for general information about attending PACE Fairs.

Activities are now open for registration and appear below. Please, register your interest to receive more details as the event develops.  Once you’ve submitted a registration, you should receive an automatic confirmation of your request via email. Please contact us if you do not receive this confirmation.

Please ensure you are aware of the Terms & Conditions, especially the Cancellation terms, before you register your interest for participating at these  events.

Registrations to participate at PACE events can only be accepted from:
-    Code of Practice Signatory Institutions
-    Institutions with a positive External Evaluation & Review by NZQA.

Places are allocated to new registrants on a first-in-first-served basis.  When a registration deadline has been advertised, please keep in mind that it is still possible for spaces to fill up prior to the deadline.

New Zealand Education Fair, Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia

The second set of events to be held in Malaysia for 2012 are planned  to be held later in the year, 29 July - 5 August. New Zealand Education Fairs have been held twice annually in Malaysia for over 10 years and this series of one day fairs will held in both East and West Malaysia. Cities hosting these events in August include Kota Kinabalu, Penang and Petaling Jaya.

Further details on these events will be available closer to the event time, following the March 2012 series.

During 2011 New Zealand Education Fairs in both March and August saw 1,827 visitors attend.

Registrations have opened and events will go ahead based on industry demand. Please be sure to register for all of those fairs you are interested in attending and this will ensure the popular events go ahead.


Statistics show that the growth of Malaysian students coming to study has been steady and INZ first time student visa’s approved during the 2010 – 2011 year reached 778.

Fair visitors’ numbers are also steady with a strong increase on more informed enquires. Please see the activity over the last 4 years of the fair visitor numbers.

Marketing in Malaysia is particularly relevant for the tertiary market.  Please see the sector breakdown of current students studying in NZ taken from the INZ, September 2011 figures. Universities, ITPs, PTEs and some secondary schools are encouraged to participate.
