Chiang_Mai_pictureThe New Zealand Education Fair series in Thailand is a flagship NZ marketing event.  The activity provides an opportunity for marketers to raise their profile, recruit students, maintain relationships and meet with active agents in the market.

2012 marks the 18th year that New Zealand Education Fairs have been held in Thailand.

In 2011 we had a New Zealand inc approach with New Zealand sponsors participating in the Fair, including Air New Zealand, Tourism New Zealand and other New Zealand companies through NZTE.

ENZ will organise the branding for this event, so to maintain a competitive stance against competition. British Council events in Chiang Mai have decreased over the last 2 years, which will mean there there will be a greater market share to tap.

An active group of Thailand agents committed to New Zealand education underwent a New Zealand Specialist Training and Testing Programme in May 2009.  More information about the programme can be found HERE .  The 29 Specialist Agents will be invited to the Networking evenings, their details can be found HERE

A networking event will be organised so New Zealand institute representatives have a chance to mingle with agents and local officials in a relaxed atmosphere the night before the Fair.

An increase in visitor numbers was received in 2008 for Chiang Mai as the New Zealand Education Fair moved from a weekday to a Saturday.  Saturday will remain the fair day, an advantage for the junior and secondary sectors as it means an increase in the number of families with younger children better able to visit the fair.

First Time Student Visa applications for New Zealand from Thailand has steadily increased over the last few years. It is important to continue to support local agents and continue keep a unified presence in Thailand

This event is most suitable for seconday, tertiary and English Language sectors.

Industry levy funding is supporting this event.
