The industry has been devastated by the news of the collapse of the CTV building which housed the English language school King’s Education, trapping and killing a large number of teachers and students.

Several Japanese students and teachers were rescued from the building on Tuesday night, but many more students and staff members remain trapped and police are not hopeful that any are still alive. This includes a significant number of international students. Police fear that up to 100 people may have been killed in the building.

We are all deeply saddened by this loss of life, and our thoughts go out to everyone associated with King’s Education as well as the family and friends of the staff members and students who have not yet been recovered.
