Welcome to the second round of events in Malaysia scheduled for 2010. New Zealand Education Fairs have been held twice annually in Malaysia for about 10 years. This series of one day fairs are planned be held in both East and West Malaysia from early August. Cities include Kota Kinabalu, Penang and Petaling Jaya.

During 2009 no fairs were held in East Malaysia so the fair planned for Kota Kinabalu will only go ahead based on demand. While prices in this tropical island are always on the rise, making it an almost equally expensive as Kuala Lumpur we have still managed to keep the price cost effective, while reducing Kuala Lumpur’s Petaling Jaya Fair also.

Almost 1,187 visitors attended the New Zealand Education Fairs held in March 2010 across three locations and 950 across two locations in August 2009. Statistics from Immigration New Zealand shows the growth of Malaysian students coming to study has been steady since 2004 with April 2010 statistics showing a total of 2,403 student visas.



Marketing in Malaysia is particularly relevant for the tertiary market. All universities, ITPs, foundation providers and Private Training Establishments are encouraged to participate.  

Industry Levy funding is supporting the New Zealand Education promotion element of these fairs.
