Global Partnership with New Zealand Trade and Enterprise

Education New Zealand and New Zealand Trade and Enterprise staff have attended workshops over the past month to ensure that everyone is up to speed with the new partnership and how the new work programme will be implemented in 2007.

These meetings have been extremely positive and both parties are looking forward to an even closer working relationship in 2007.

For more information about the partnership, which was signed on 21 November 2006, please see
E-News: 21 November.

If you have any questions about the new partnership, please do not hesitate to contact Sarah Cornish at Education New Zealand.

Seasons Greetings

As this is the last Industry E-News for 2006, Education New Zealand would like to take the opportunity to wish the entire export education industry in New Zealand a relaxing and cheery festive season.

We hope you are all able to take a break over the New Year period to refresh yourselves and spend time with family and friends. Whether you are traveling or staying close to home, we wish you a safe and happy holiday.

The Education New Zealand office will be closed from 22 December to 10 January 2007 (only 17 days till another year begins!).

We look forward to continuing to work with you in 2007.  We have an exciting but busy year ahead with many new opportunities, events and initiatives for everyone to work together to keep New Zealand fresh in the minds of anyone considering an offshore education.

That’s it for this year - the year that was 2006.

See you next year!
