New Zealand Specialist Agent Training

Update
Thanks to continuous support from the industry, ENZ has created three more Specialist Agent groups over the past few months, increasing the total number to 191 Specialist Agents across seven countries. The details of new Specialist Agents from Brazil, Korea and Germany are now available.  The Korean agents will be awarded their Specialist Agent certificates at a ceremony during the late-October New Zealand Education Fair in Seoul.  Agents that attended the Nanjing training in late June and met all criteria will soon be added to the Chinese list, these agents will be awarded their certificates at a ceremony during the New Zealand Education Fair in Nanjing in October.

New Zealand based agents who attended the Christchurch event on 26 June and met the various criteria have now also been added to our existing New Zealand based agent list HERE.  Thanks to Education Christchurch and Canterbury for holding a function in honour of the agents.

On 2 September following the New Zealand Education Fair in Colombo, 24 education agents attended the first New Zealand Specialist Agent training held in Sri Lanka.  We are currently marking tests and checking references, and will load details to the website and advise industry in a future edition of E-news.

Last, but certainly not least, ENZ is holding Specialist Agent training for Japanese education agents on Thursday, 29 October in Tokyo. This activity leverages off the Tourism NZ Giant Rugby Ball and the New Zealand hype associated with the Bledisloe Cup game on that weekend in Tokyo.  Agents have already been invited directly, but those who did not receive the invitation and would like to attend can register their details online HERE

Agent Conduct
All New Zealand Specialist Agents are required to sign the New Zealand Specialist Agents Code of Conduct to ensure that the reputation and standing of Specialist Agents is upheld. Education New Zealand is committed to investigate any alleged or suspected breach of the code of conduct by a Specialist Agent, in an objective, unprejudiced, timely, and discreet manner; and with the assistance of any other institutions, businesses, or person Education New Zealand sees fit.

If a Specialist Agent is found to be in breach of the Code, Education New Zealand will issue the Agent a formal letter outlining the Specialist Agent Code non-compliance and seek adequate redress, within a timeframe defined on a case by case basis.  If industry members are aware of any breach of the code, they should read the full information related to the Code of Conduct online HERE in the first instance, and then contact Sarah Cox if they wish to proceed with lodging a formal complaint.
