To directly assist with the future viability of Christchurch as a study destination, we have waived fees for Christchurch institutions for all of our remaining PACE marketing events in 2011. This will give those institutions that are in a position to, the opportunity to continue marketing or maintaining international relationships in difficult financial times. We understand that this support may be required into 2012, and will review this policy closer to the time.

We have also waived cancellation fees for Christchurch institutions which had registered for events and are no longer able to attend, or prefer not to attend.

NorthTec – Whangarei
Most of NorthTec’s mainstream programmes have places available, including hospitality, sports and recreation, tourism, business and multi media. English Language classes start every Monday. NorthTec also offers an extensive Homestay network, and the Homestay families have been made aware of the additional support students from Christchurch may require, and are ready and eager to help.  NorthTec’s Counselling Services will be made available for students too. Aoraki Polytechnic – Timaru
