Education New Zealand (ENZ) is the lead agency for the promotion of New Zealand education around the world.

We are a Crown Entity funded by the New Zealand Government and led by a Board of Directors appointed by the Minister responsible for International Education. We have a team of 34 staff in New Zealand and  countries offshore.

Education New Zealand gives effect to the Government’s vision, goals and objectives for international education.

Education New Zealand was established on 1 September 2011 under the Education Act 1989 (The Education Amendment Act 2011) to combine the government-funded representation and promotion efforts undertaken by the Ministry of Education, Education New Zealand Trust, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and New Zealand Trade and Enterprise.
